I just got around to watching episode 11 of yugioh arc v and i have to say that was one of the BEST duels i've ever seen from the anime. It was just so intense with the action.Gongenzaka was a true MAN with that all monster deck. After i watched the first episode of arc-v i was dissapointed but wow definately dont judge it on that.I love how there using all the different summoning types into the show instead of just focusing on pendulams.I honestly think this may end up being the best yugioh series so far.

It was interesting, that's for sure. Not to mention he was dueling against X-Sabres. This next upcoming episode (already aired, waiting for subs) features a duel between Yuya and Reiiji. His deck uses "DD" monsters. Which I find odd because they do stand for "Different Dimension" but are written differently, meaning there's 2 "Sifferent Dimension" archetypes.

I think this yugioh series is gonna end up as one of the the best. Its just a vibe i'm getting like the producers are going all out on this show. This is the first yugioh series i'm watching on a weekly basis since the original.

maybe it would end up being awesome it has character development and it just needs a cool storyline and a link with the past yugioh series and it's perfect

Yep lol. This is exactly what I had said in the anime thread. That all monster deck was amazing. Those are the type of decks I like. The series incorporates everything from the previous series. We may see an old grandpa version of Yugi with an updated deck and new support cards. So to all those who hated the first episode, keep watching until their school gets challenged.

Madara, you are dead. The will of Kaguya has pierced your chest through your back. Your opinion doesn't matter. LMAO, just kidding. I love the new series. It is definitely different. Usually when a new summoning style is introduced, thats what they stick to. Not this time around. They actually use every method of summoning, which was very unexpected. I too was disappointed with the first episode of the series but continued watching in the hopes that they would pick up the pace, in which they did. For me the turning point was when "future" yuya xyzed summoned and turned his back on his opponent ,like a boss, knowing that he had won. Can't wait to see how he becomes this version of himself and why. I can't wait to duel Yuya at his peak, lol. I am The Real,The Only, Jaden Yuki King of Games!!! GET'CHA GAME ON!!

Aster Phoenix did that to Jaden Yuki :P

I'm kind of curious now about watching Arc-V, I'm glad to hear the producers of the show are mixing it up with all the different summonings. 5D's generally focused alot of Synchro Summoning and Zexal focused alot of Xyz Summoning. I guess I'll give Arc-V a shot and start watching it.

We don't know yet. I don't know who keeps saying future Yuya. Nowhere in yugioh wikia does it say that. It may just be a guy that looks like Yuya or a long-lost twin brother separated at birth lol. He might have gone to the psychic school like Akiza did in 5ds. He is a psychic duelist. I'm sure he is not future Yuya.

OMG, did you guys see the latest episode (12)? So we finally know what DDD stands for, Different Dimension Demon. Also, this guy summoned fusion, synchro, and xyz. I do this all the time, but it looks soooo cool in an anime. All he needs is ritual and Sophia can be his boss monster later in the series.

Anyways, I like this guy, he's got respect for duelists. He's like the Kaiba/Zane/Kaito rival for Yuya.

I'm loving Reiji! His cockiness, his smile, he just screams "I'm Not-Kaiba and I am awesome!"
His strategy was cool too, and I think he is a fitting rival. He is nowhere near the antagonist he was originally set up to be when he hired Sawatari to steal the Pendulums. It makes me wonder how long it will be before he gets his own Pendulum Monsters.

That said, I have one single reservation about the series:

Normal Summon.
Tribute Summon.
Fusion Summon.
Synchro Summon
Xyz Summon.

....WHY NO RITUAL SUMMONS!?

Im mostly sure of this, in the next episode reiji its going to use pendulum monsters. If any of you look at the advance of the next episode, the names of 2 cards appear (i forgot the names already but they are related to astromancy/chronomancy).
Anyway he was doing some research about yuya in some episodes, so isnt strange a "copy" of those cards...
