Title says it all. Two instances in the same duel where I used Number C107's effect which says....\

3 Level 9 monsters

Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; until the end of this turn, negate the effects of all other face-up cards currently on the field, also your opponent cannot activate cards or effects. If this card has "Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect.

● You can Tribute 2 monsters; this card can make up to 3 attacks on monsters during each Battle Phase this turn.

However, after I used this effect then attacked, the opponent was able to first use Battle Fader which is activating an effect and was able to end my battle phase then later used Swift Scarecrow to end the battle phase. Both of which caused me to lose the duel....to a burn deck.

The Japanese text of the card, when translated in Google Translate (lol) says that the opponent cannot activate cards or effects on the field which makes a huge difference.

However, the TCG printed card says none of it is allowed. No Necro Gardna, Battle Fader, Swift Scarecrow, etc. It should work similarly to Armades, Keeper of Boundaries.

That's OCG. This is TCG. The English printed card says nothing of the sort. There's not even a way to choose which version of this card I want to use.

*sigh* If the rulings for cards are going to differ THAT much and there's nothing that can be done about it, then Im not gonna continue playing on here or any system that forces OCG rules for everyone. There is way too big of a difference between the TCG & OCG versions of this card for it to just be okay.

OCG doesnt stop anything in grave or hand
TCG stops everything.

What is what you call "this"? If the ENglish text is different, then it's wrong.

And you can't choose it because of the scripting limits. Each card only allows one script. I thought I explained it to you before that there needs to be another separate YGOPro for a pure TCG game.

No one is forcing you anything, I hope to not see a repeat of this  again, but if you hate the real game so much, then yeah, this program isn't for you.

"Hate the real game" ???

http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/  isn't real?

I don't really care if you like it or not. The English text being different doesn't make it wrong. Who, exactly, if other than Konami, do you think created the English version of this card? So Konami is wrong for printing it differently? LOL

Okiedoke. All the more reason to just use the deck IRL with the millions and millions of people that play TCG.

I don't really care enough to argue with you about it, but yes, OCG is the real game with respect to the franchise. And it's a Japanese game, made by Japanese people. Eagleland is only as important as everyone else.

YGOPro follows the OCG rules. It's not wrong per say, but it is wrong with repsect to this program, which is what you were complaining about originally in this topic.

As a general rule of thumb, since the goal of TCG is to follow the OCG (unless the demented Kevin Tewart changed that, which could happen).Rulings are one thing, but if they're going to change card effects altogether, it kind of goes against what the intention is.

So yes, TCG is wrong to print it differently, especially if unintentional. For this card specifically, I'm not sure, but this might be one of the many unintentional omissions in wording.

Yeah well, I'm glad you have other means to play this game outside of this program.

When the card gets reprinted, we'll see if its going to follow OCG rules. If not, then theres going to be a clear difference between what this card can do in each version of this game, even outside of YGOPro.

This card is extremely powerful in TCG whereas in OCG, it cant even stop a battle fader.

So, we'll see what a reprint shows or if an official ruling comes up for TCG that states the text is basically wrong. Either way, its disappointing to try and use this card's effects and they fail.

The Card Database says "on the field".

The best solution for this is to ask TCG KONAMI.

Yeah I see. How does one go about emailing them about it?

EDIT: Scratch that. Found the email address and sent them an email about it. Just gotta wait for the reply.
