This is absolutely awesome!

Have you noticed the creative potential you just unleashed?

Having already this reference, we could do a mapping between the scripts and this guide. So users just have to write the cards according to this guide, and they will know which script templates to use. It would only be necessary to add details, and the process would be much faster.

Might I suggest updating this with:

  • Link Monsters (and all they entail i.e. Link Number instead of DEF, points to, linked, co-linked).
  • "During either player's turn,..." or "...(this is a Quick Effect)" is now just "...(Quick Effect):...".
  • Union Monster is now Union monster; Tuner monster is usually just Tuner now
  • Flip Effect Monster is just Flip monster
  • Mention that "Battle Step" and "Damage Step" are capitalized, but "damage calculation" is not
  • Battle Damage was capitalized, but is not anymore.
  • "Once per turn, during your opponent's turn..." is now simply "Once per opponent's turn..."
  • Graveyard's been shortened to GY
  • ATK and DEF changes (i.e. "...gains 500 ATK and DEF") is now ATK/DEF ("...gains 500 ATK/DEF")

I really like the detail and thought that went into this; you've covered every major topic and subtopic there is [] .
These suggestions are more recent so I'm not blaming you for not having them. With Series 10 being pretty new and all, and these changes mostly coinciding with Series 10's release, this batch of changes should suffice for a while. Cheers

Otherwise, send it to the Graveyard."

Thank you for letting me know! I will look into the recent errata and see what conclusion I can pull. What I can say for now is this:

New sentence: Doesn't hurt English pride with a run-on sentence.
Combine phrases: Structurally more clear (i.e. 1 sentence per effect).

Thank you so much for your support! It means a lot~
Unfortunately, scripting and PSCT do not weave well together (i.e. if someone were to make a scripting guide, I doubt it can follow the same order without demolishing clarity). Additionally, my post is already quite the monster. Adding a whole scripting layer to the guide will unleash clutter unprecedented. However, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try! I just need to get my hands on a well-rounded scripter with lots of time on their hands x)

First of all, enormous thanks for collecting all of these updates for me! You undoubtedly went through the whole stupid post, as well! The former is tedious, and the latter would be daunting even for me x)

1. Link Monsters: Since I have been out of the loop for quite some time, I will need to steadily go through the released Link Monsters and find new patterns and keywords/phrases. Hopefully that won't take too long!
2. Quick Effects: If I correctly digested your words, this is a great change to reduce ambiguity and increase flexibility, Konami!
3. Union/Tuner/Flip: Intriguing. I believe both uses of each kind of monster already existed. But since there is more data, I shall do my research!
4. Battle Phase Phrases: I did somewhat mention about battle damage being lower case through the "Do NOT capitalize" spoiler, but I admit that was not easy to find. I will go through each part of the Battle Phase again and throw my conclusions in their proper places (with, hopefully, acceptable clarity).
5. Once per opponent's turn: Revolutionary. Another thanks, Konami XD Significantly less wordy
6. Graveyard (GY): ... I have mixed feelings about this. Shortening words is great during these days of essay effects, but GY?
7. ATK/DEF: If ATK/DEF gain is the same, then they follow the rule as you've mentioned. I indeed left out that part! I was trying to be as general as possible and forgot to include the shortened exception. However, if Konami decided to add something like "gains 500/300 ATK/DEF," then that's a different story.

I am rather busy (as we all are), but I will do my best to go exhaust this to-do list!
Again, thank you so much, bladegunner! Your help is very much appreciated!

No problem, your welcome. And I was glad to read through the whole guide, just to freshen up on current wording for making my own cards. I agree about Graveyard to GY; it throws me, considering Graveyard is one word but trying to abbreviate with 2 letters...but I have noticed some cards using "Graveyard" 4 times, so simplifying to 2 letters does help reduce text squishing.
