I know that YGOPRO2's engine is heavier for people with very low specs PC/laptops but I still don't see this as a real deal since I saw that there are tweaks added to adjust the effects to work on more low specs PC and besides this, normally nowadays there are a lot of people with 4GB RAM and 64 bits Windows since this is the true minimum requirements to run it.
There is also the solution to maintain two versions, the current one for the people with low RAM and 32 bits OS and the YGOPRO2 engine one for people with decent PC.

so what happens to mac user after this update will we still get cards/updates on the current pro?

The Mac version has not been discontinued, we're simply focusing on the Windows update for now. As for new cards on Mac, I'll still upload the ones that can be scripted, so you should continue to see them as usual, at least for now.

Ah okay that's awesome but not to say exact....but how long after the update for windows atm as you said.....will mac users have to wait till they can get links/update?

Percy already have tons to deal with irl, and you want him to add maintaining another version for no reason? This is just a bad, pointless, and horrible idea.
Now this is how I play:

This is just a suggestion, you just misunderstood me and seems you took this too seriously, its not that I want him to prioritize this right now, just a "horrible idea" that can be revisited in the future. Tho, is not that bad for people with decent computers, a graphical upgrade through Unity like YGOPRO2 will make YGOPRO Percy more popular.
I really appreciate the work Percy does and that we have an announcement after a long time, I had no mean intention with my suggestion.

Oh all these are very great news as long as are possible to be done I hope soon!! The missing Offline AI and the fact that on online servers you cannot switch the rules actually is not a big deal for the most users!! An offline ai for link summon perhaps it's impossible even for the konami (and perhaps this explain why konami not release any game with link summon yet) and about the online servers to tell the truth is as long as on lan server you can able to switch the rules for online servers is actually better simply the users use an online server who only support the old rules and a an other hole different server who support only link summon rules like happen already with mercury server anyway!! I guess the only important missing is the fact that the next update will be Windows only for now though I hear that g2pro support mac and for I hear that gideon and some other developments manage to release a ygopro link summon for mobile devices too but yes I know all these ygopro version who generally have already link summon use the non complete ygo core so for the complete core the ygopro percy going to use perhaps need a lot of more time in order to support the mobile devices for example!! Anyway there are some things not mention on missing update part so perhaps ygopro percy keep them even on the update and I talk about the 2vs1 mode and the animation bg and a little be worried about cards are not working on ygo core like the Pitch-Black Power Stone card and perhaps not even work on the ygopro percy update too!! Anyway I can't wait to check the update when is going to be ready!!

I love to hear that the new Update comes next time.
But I have a little bit of questions:

- Mac support: the next update will be Windows only for now

1. The lack in Updating the Offline AI sounds for me, like the next Update for Android could need much more time(It's ok if it's like that, I only want to know). I hope you can fix the biggest issues quiet fast. When I would have more knowledge about lua-scripting, I would try to help too, but first I need the time to learn itself :/
On the Way: Will you gave us something like an documentation of all functions that can be used/can be used in the future in the ai Scripting?

2. The missing Mac Support means the Missing Update means the missing of an Linux Version too? Or was the Linux Version made by people, who aren't in the Percy Team and now hasn't anyone who will support it?
Sounds little Bad. I can run the windows version on Linux too(with the good friend WINE), but it should have more bugs than before. Especially, the Mac should support Linux version too, because the architecture of both are quite similar.

Hmm, with new update Percy with links will be standalone game from curent version? And if that is true can we keep boot version, new with links and older without? And if it's possible, will the old version still receive updates (new cards, etc.).
Pls respond!
I hope you understand what I mean, i use google translate cuz my eng is very bad.

If you has read the announcement you will got your answer:
1. Actual only New MR4 Version. Old Version not Supported at the moment.
2. Updates only for MR4, because old version not supported. All card should be autoupdate itself with the new MR4 and many bugs with the old client should happen. Except they use another Repository(like the same differencing on github: Live2017 for all old cards and Live2017MR4 for all new MR4-Related Cards)

CAUTION: These are only my thoughts, not the real way. It could/should be, but it's not 100% correct.

Sorta: the update will not have backwards compatibility, however, since the update is Windows only for now, I'll still continue to upload scriptable cards to the repository used for the current version like I'm doing now, at least for a little while longer. It's mainly for the Mac users' sake, so that they can get keep up with at least some of the new cards until their version is ready.

As for having an old version, I suppose, if you're really determined to not use Links and keep using the old rules, you could simply choose to not update Percy: however, given how you'd end up missing on a ton on bug fixes and features, and how our main focus for support will switch to the New Master Rule once the update is out, I'd suggest downloading the update and adapting to the new rules.

Or, create a copy of Ygopro that we still have today and paste in another place, and make the update in only one of the programs, so you will have both options (one with the new master rule and the other with the pre-link rules ). I will particularly do this, but of course, in the version that will stay in the past will not have new updates anymore. Only that's what can be done for now, and I understand that.

(Note: I also use the translator, and from what I understand in the advertisement, at least in the LAN mode you can use the pre-link rules.) Correct me if I'm wrong.

i see they dint released before because they wanted backwards compability funtionable, but i think the important is have the new things first, and then you can release people's whimps, just a sugestion, btw i knew ai part would be hard to maintain, because they need to make it from scrath in order to work with links, but since is only about chains and lua, they will be able to release it after, i think for mac and android users this update will be arriving next year after devs polish windows version and make it clean of any bug or errors.

Sorry i have a question: If we don't have offline A.I, how about Online A.I? Can we have it?

So I'm assuming nothing for Android for a while either? Just making sure. I'll wait.

More generally online servers use their oun core and usually every kind of ygopro you use you are able to play with all the servers are available so as far as only ygopro percy release only the update core then actually you are able to use the online servers and there already if I am not wrong 2 online servers you can play with AI with link summon who at this momement you can play them with g2pro (gideon server) and ygopro chinese mercury233 server)

Well I hear that ygo core reach the mobile devices though I not test it to see if already support the android version too!! Also obvious ygopro percy core who going to be released (I hope soon) it have really nothing to do with the ygocore so even if this core is available for android that'a not mean that the core the ygopro percy going to use is able too I am afraid!!
