What happened to the thumbnails? They are pixelated, visibly bad.

Ok. No more trolling with the database. Time to fix all card lore.

Card pictures of anime pack /expansions/cards-tf.zip have been moved to the /pics folder

So any of my artwork updates will be minimal now? I can remove them in my updates?
Now this is how I play:

These 3 cards: Awakened Gaia the Fierce Knight, Performapal La Panda and Sacred Black Luster Soldier are still using temp card ids in cards.cdb.

Awakened Gaia the Fierce Knight: 6106 -> 29904964
Performapal La Panda: 6010 -> 32787239
Sacred Black Luster Soldier: 6025 -> 92510265

the rename scripts and card pics are in the update, it was just not renamed in cards.cdb. If you have SQLite you can fix it yourself or let somebody else here do it and upload the fix.

Yeah sure. You can include only the new and changed pics.

I encountered a bug with with Knight of the Beginning. When I banish him from my Graveyard, instead of letting me search an Ritual Spell, I get the message: "[Script error:] [string "./script/c6628343.lua"]:35: attempt to index global 'c6621' (a nil value)"
This error only occurs with him, Knight of the Eveneing Twilight seems to be okay.

I have to say, I am not a fan of the removal of Thumbnails, Deck Edit looks horrible now.

Is there seriously no fix for this?

LOL why remove the thumbnail? Now the minimized cards are ugly and pixelated. Seriously, is there any good reason to remove them?? If not, please bring it back!

[:w00t:] Hey, I'm not seeing things! [:sneaky:]

Full version download:
Mega link is smaller = 255,8 Mb.
Google Drive is busy, can't download at the moment. IIRC it's around 700 Mb+.
Installer link = 492,98 Mb.

Dun tell me that both Mega and Installer links are the lesser version of YGOPRO. [:doh:]

They were packed by different people. Installer uses LZMA compression (guessing the MEGA link does as well) in addition to removing old obsolete files.

If they removed old obsolete files then it can't be considered as full version. It's more like a stupid version of YGOPRO. [:roll:] It'll definitely crash during online play. [:roll:]

I don't think you understand what an obsolete file is. Its a file that's no longer used by the program and as such is taking up unnecessary space.

So you're assuming Percy added unimportant files to his program? I dun think so.

How do you differentiate obsolete files from the new one? Unless you're the main programer who works on YGOPRO, you won't know.

Percy does not add junk files on purpose, but there are tons of files like this, and they're quite easy to spot, actually. Cards, whose ids were changed get an id change in the database, but that doesn't automatically rename or delete script files or pics for the old id. Those files tend to persist, even though they are not used by the main program at all, they are not linked to anything anymore. Its quite easy to keep track of these links and remove files lacking these. So it is really no rocket science, you don't need much more than basic knowledge on how YGOPro's file system works to spot and remove these files.

Really?

Let's keep it short since I wouldn't bother download the full version other than Percy's Google Drive.

1. Can you guarantee that the other versions with removed obsolete files won't crash my game whenever I play online?
2. If what you're stated is true then why does Percy still keeping the unused obsolete files and share it to us? Why don't you let Percy know that his version has so many junk files and give him a more efficient version. So we won't waste our time and quota downloading the game.

Anyway thanks for your answer. [:thumbu:]

I cannot guarantee anything, even Percy's original version might crash from time to time. However, I do think, it is very unlikely, that YGOPro versions from the other official sources behave differently. And even if they did, its not like it is very difficult to try out and download a different version, if the one you used isn't to your liking.

Also, all of the card scripts you download are only relevant for offline play anyways. Online play uses server-side card scripts to rule out any asynchronous or missing files and disable people tampering with their scripts to gain an advantage. And as of the newest YGOPro version, all missing card pictures will be downloaded automatically, once the program notices they are missing. Not much that can go wrong here.

Honestly, it is not a big deal. I am sure, Percy is aware of most of this and attempts to remove the junk for each version. But something always slips through, just like most newly released cards have bugs at first. Also, installing new versions of YGOPro does never delete files from your folders, so junk files will accumulate pretty much by design every time ids are changed and pics or scripts are replaced. And I am sure pretty much every program in existence has some junk data. Its simply not worth the time and effort to track these down 100%, just to save a few kilobytes, especially considering the abundance of hard drive space usually available nowadays.

Do note, that most of this is my assumption or opinion. I do not know everything about YGOPro and how Percy handles it. These are just based on personal experience with other programs and what I know about YGOPro's file management system and installation method.
