I tested your files, but AI still summon Zaborg the thunder monarch when the opponent controlls no monster.

Maybe, the community, is it only my destiny or is it by you, too?

I'm having problems with the ai's special summoning. The ai always special summons monsters in defense mode even when I have a monsters with lower attack on the field. It also seems to do this when I only have a face down monster on the field.

Ai will summon it in defence mode if player's STRONGEST monster has more attack points than summoned monster. Ai is playing safer now, i think this is the optimal play style for him. I can make him attack face down cards if summoned monster has more than 1k ap (for ai to not lose too much lp) and if player has no face up monsters with stronger attack.

I am really loving the AI, although I'm also having issues with the ai's special summoning in defence. I had Jain on the field as my only card, and the AI special summoned their Lightpulsar in Defence. In another match it Special Summoned Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon in defence, even though my highest attack monster was 1800. Looking forward to seeing the AI get better though.

TC dude, can you give us some AI-decks like what Percy, ytterbite and ryanxcv did? so we can tell you which part of your AI.lua which is need to be fixed as well as testing your AI.lua [:thumbu:]

i can't tell which part did you improve from ytterbite's AI.lua. [:confu:]

You can tell that just by comparing size of files (mine and ytterbite's), You can test it with any deck as all fixes are global (Except those for requested cards), and i will try to fix as many cards as i can in future.

Feedbacks:

1. Forbidden Lance
AI always activate Forbidden Lance whenever it has Forbidden Lance in hand and target either self or my monster even if there's no spell or trap cards was being activated during that time.

2. Breakthrough Skill
the same problem with Forbidden Lance.

3. Compulsory Evacuation Device
i think the card is best activated during damage step, while AI always activate it during Main Phase 1.

4. Monster Reborn
sometimes AI Special Summon monster with Monster Reborn in Face-up Defence Position while i have less ATK than the mentioned monster.

5. AI always SET monster(s) whenever i have monster(s) with more ATK. i have issued this problem with ytterbite and ytterbite respond: it can't be help, SETTING(put monster(s) in Face-Down Defence Position) a monster will kill the probabiity to chain and combo. in short what ytterbite want to say is "It is best to ALWAYS let AI put monster in Face-Up Attack Position for Xyz. synchro, combo, chain, etc purpose."

Thnx for feedback, i will fix those cards in next update. About not setting monsters, in ytterbite 's script Ai would almost ignore players monsters when selecting position, i did change it because it's not how any player would play, if it will somehow prevent any combos i will find a way to fix that.

YMMV on this one. Bouncing a NS monster isn't that bad, just ask Constellar players. Of course, bouncing a Synchro/XYZ before it has a chance to activate its effect is ideal. Battle declaration is a good activation window, but I don't know how to check for it in the Lua scripts. And CED cannot be activated during the damage step, since it doesn't change ATK/DEF directly.

It's best to check if it will be able to XYZ (and maybe even check whether XYZing will solve anything for each XYZ monster). If not, it should default to setting.

AI.GetCurrentPhase() == PHASE_BATTLE Just a guess, i'm not sure if it's really working, using it in some of my fixes tho.

I was looking for something like card states, such as "attacking" or "being attacked". Activating Forbidden Lance during the BP doesn't cut it.

The Ai had monsters with the highest attack on the field. I had the AI using Elemental Dragons and it kept special summoning them in defense mode.

In your update 4 when the AI summons a monster and chooses attack or defense position, does the AI check if the players monster/s are face down when choosing the position?

I had only one monster card on the field a face down "Fossil Dyna", and the AI Special Summoned 3 monsters all in defense mode it summoned a 2400 atk monster, then 2600 atk monster, & then it exceeded into a 2600 atk monster "Big Eye" all in defense.

Replace old file in Ai/mod folder, and try it then, if it works fine i will do a hotfix update.

Replaced the file, tested AI using a Dragon Ruler Deck against my Rock Stun.

When I set a monster During the AI's turn as soon as the AI attempts to special summon a monster a crash occurs shortly after before the special summon is complete.

"AI activates say Tempest for example banishes two cards to meet the summoning requirement, Tempest is just shown in hand and then a crash occurs it never finishes the summon" Also happens when using any of the smaller incarnate dragons effect to summon as well.

I'm experiencing a similar crash problem. My crash occurred right after the AI used Monster Reborn and Snatch Steal.
