More generally it's very wise for people who have not a lot of expirience about cdb files to never edit the expansion folder and try to to add cards manually only using the cards.cdb on the main folder your ygopro percy use with the help of YGOPRO Card Packer!! If actually the autoupdate edit only the files the expansion folder have then there is no any danger the cards you add manually on cards.cdb to be removed otherwise with system.conf file you must disable the autoupdate!!



Please do not promote this suggestion. Card Packer is well known to corrupt the order of columns in a cdb which could causes errors in YGoPro. Updating the main cdb could cause issues as well. I would suggest taking my template from my Scripting Tutorial, and copy-pasting your cdb's contents via SQLite into my empty cdb. Feel free to rename it. Based on experience, SQLite has not alphabetized my cdb's columns yet, which is caused by using Card Packer.

Mmm I don't know that then I guess better you add manually the cards with the old SQLite Expert way then!! Well for a ygopro version who auto-updated I personal do nothing simply wait for auto-update to add the cards!! Now for a ygopro version where I disable the auto-update in order to add custom cards though even I add the cards with Card Packer I never have this issue!! Perhaps the auto-update case this issue!!

I will leave here as a comment a suggestion that I wrote on the Ygopro News website, please do not misunderstand me and do not offend me, because it is an idea I had and would like to know other people's opinion about it.

I could make a topic of this, but I decided not to do to avoid confusion or complaints, since issues related to this are being addressed here, and I would not know the right place to create a topic for that matter.

I know I've already given my suggestions on the forums, but I'll make a big summary of what I want for the full version here.

In MR4 and MR3 to have the option of making "First Turn Draw" and "Field Replacement", as it is only possible in previous MRs, and in the previous rules I can not put pendulum monsters in pendulum zones, but it is only in these Master Rule that there is "First Turn Draw", and I used to play a lot with obsolete rules in MR3.

With respect to link monsters, although it is possible to invoke them in MR3 or earlier, they are only invoked in the normal monster zone due to the absence of the extra monster zone. But this causes them to lose their purpose, and can only perform effects with arrows that point to the side. I know they did not exist in the old rules, but I would like you developers of the percy Ygopro to provide an extra monster zone for the link monsters also in the old master rules, but of course not including the extra deck limitation because of this, but initially , only the link monsters would be invoked in that extra monster zone. Like this here:

As if it were a combination of rules.

Do not misunderstand me, this is not a requirement, it is only a matter of mine, to help those who however much they should adapt the new rules, but we will still want to play with the old rules, but at the same time enjoy the Link Monsters in them. Well with that done, for me the Ygopercy will be perfect as a game simulator.

And of course, do it if possible, which I believe it is, since you managed to do all this in this beta.

So...what exactly are all the Event Mode duels? I know about Speed, Turbo, Battle City, Command, Concentration, etc, but what is a Rose Duel or Double Deck Duel?

The "new version" is just the patch with the new rules and cards, is like 30mb, you unzip it to the current game folder.

Nope. The new version is an complete new version. It's size is so much lower, because it doesn't have all the assets, that will be created when you start the client(e.g. new cards that will be downloaded and the card images)

You MUSTN'T MERGE but you can(for example to use your old decks).

it doesn't work. Only me in host, there isn't any A.I. Is it down?

For Play Online AI you need to create a lan game and introduce 50.53.229.66 as ip and 8234 as port, but looks like right now the ai is off on the gideon server.

you can also type /ai on chat for enable it, but it appears to be malfunctioning

UPDATE: Looks like is working again, you just need to create a game and enter /ai on chat, the system will randomly choose an opponent for you, in caste the ai doesnt auto mark the ready button, just kick it and type /ai again, then you start the game.

Many thanks for this. I was wondering how to do this. Only question I have left is if it is possible to use custom cards against AI in LAN mode. When I put a custom monster in the extra deck it just disappears from the duel.

you can do it with the gideon beta server or lan, just putting your ip and port and let your friend do the same, then both can play online, i believe you can also play on tag 2vs2

the current version is just an unfinished beta one, after they release a full stable version, the linux and android version should come out pretty soon
