Looking for a way to script cards that return to the hand if a condition has or has not been met, e.g. pinpoint landing (but to hand instead of to grave).
I have tried using EFFECT_SELF_TOGRAVE and adding an operation function that adds the card to the hand but that doesn't work. I've also tried using redirects and things like scrap-iron scarecrow to stop them from being sent to the grave and trying to add them back to the hand from there, but they still go to the grave. And I'd rather not have them hit the grave first before adding them to the hand. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

why not copy honest's return to hand effect? then you can replace the Main Phase condition part to w/e your condition is.

btw spells/traps and monsters use different activation codes. (field/ignition if i recall correctly). im just mentioning it b/c idk if your card is monster or s/t.
