I played the Ygopro on Ubuntu (Linux) and Windows 7 normally, but when I switched to Windows 8 the game does not run more than 14 or 17 FPS, this problem occurs only in windows 8?
I still have Ubuntu installed on the same computer and the game runs at 60 FPS normally, only in Windows 8 which does not pass 17?

Try this and see what happens

Open system.conf on ygopro folder that u had placed with notepad.
then change the value of use_d3d ,if 0 to 1,and vice-versa.

Install Directx 9 as windows 8 does not include them by default but some older games requires it.
Also make sure your video card drivers are updated.

windows 8 needs at least 128 of memory of your video card
perhaps you should update yous vga or uninstall windows 8

Use that option may increase game speed ,but this trade with the stability of the YgoPro.
