I don't think so, though the issue appears to be that we already have a card named Dark Illusion, thus it probably does need to have a different name.

Obviously there was some contention with the word "black" when renaming Dark Magician, yet they didn't use it with Red-Eyes Black Dragon or Magician of Black Chaos. Pretty silly, but I think Dark Magician is a cooler name than Black Magician.
