Transcendental Polymerization cannot target (no effect at all to activate) Starving Venom to re-summon the fusion materials from the grave. I've tried with diferent scenarios and no results.

With Lunalight Cat Dancer, TP works well, so this can be a bug just with Starving.

IIRC, this is because Starving Venom specifies that you have to use monsters "on the field". Since the monsters aren't on the field anymore once they're in the graveyard, they are no longer considered fusion materials for Starving Venom and can't be re-summoned.

But the text of TP says:

"Special Summon all the Fusion Materials that were used for its Fusion Summon from your Graveyard."

The way it is frased is similar to Fusion Recovery, just get a fusion material that "was used" in a fusion summon. I think Starving Venom summoning condition do not matter anymore here.

That's the exact same thing I thought when I first heard of that ruling, but the wiki has something about De-Fusion  that seems to confirm it:
Quote:

Starving Venom Fusion Dragon: Suppose "Starving Venom Fusion Dragon" was Fusion Summoned using "Predaplant Drosophyllum Hydra" and "Predaplant Sundew Kingii" as Fusion Materials. If you activate "De-Fusion" by targeting "Starving Venom Fusion Dragon", "Starving Venom Fusion Dragon" is returned to the Extra Deck. In that case, even if the "Predaplant Drosophyllum Hydra" and "Predaplant Sundew Kingii" that were used as Fusion Materials are in your Graveyard, since the monsters in the Graveyard are not treated as monsters on the field, the Fusion Materials of "Starving Venom Fusion Dragon" (2 DARK monsters on the field, except Tokens) are not considered to be in your Graveyard. Therefore, the resolution of "then, if all the Fusion Materials that were used for its Fusion Summon are in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon all of them." cannot be applied.

The difference is probably that Fusion Recovery doesn't mention that it has to be a fusion material for a specific monster, but I find "because Konami said so" to be a similarly adequate explanation.
