I added a custom card to ygopro (name: card 😵, but when I put my cursor over it during a duel, it will have: card X, and the (card 😵 below it in parentheses, then other stats below. I can't seem to figure out why it has a repeat of the name in parentheses. I looked in the script+cdb and still can't find the factor that seems to influence this.

What do you mean? An error? What is the exact error?

Is probably because you added an alias for your custom card.
Its used for cards like Harpie Lady and cards with alternate artworks.

Just change the alias value in the database to 0 to get rid of it.

Oh... Now I get it. Is it an effect monster? Any name-changing effects? That's a new problem...
