You hated Prophecy before but thought they lacked potential as well as a win condition ? No need to think more ! Konami just released it !

Spellbook Sky Knight - Torumont
Light/Spellcaster/9/2900/2400

When this card is special summoned by a Spellcaster or the effect of a Spellbook, you can add 2 Spellbook spell cards from your grave to hand. During the turn you activate this effect, you cannot special summon any other monsters. When you add the Spellbooks to hand, you can reveal 4 types of Spellbooks in hand to activate this effect. Destroy all cards on the field besides this card.

Judgment Dragon is a big joke compared to this guy. A lot of people said that Prophecy could be tier 0 thanks to divine judgment but it poorly topped. Now they will definetely be tier 0.

I gaze upon my crystal ball, and I see Temperance of Prophecy Limited or Banned in September...

Either the effect is mistranslated, or this card is ridiulously powerful.

With judgment this kind of play is even possible 1st turn, even with Temperance banned:

1. Summon Magician, get a Spellbook, preferably Secrets.
2. Activate Judgement ( searched via Secrets or in hand already).
3. Herp Derp with Judgment, at least 3 spells.
4. Get Justice, search Torumont, discard Torumont, search Spellbook of Life and 2 other type( hand will easily exceed 7 most of the time at this point).
5. Magician will likely get destroyed, ss torumont via Life, protect with Wisdom while clearing opp's field and use stuffs like Power to get 4000~5000 with Master in 1 turn. Get judgment and Secrets back with his effect then rinse and repeat.

Judgement and Secrets are already 2 types (Normal and Quick-play), the other 2 (Field and Continuous) can be search via judgement.

This dude is basically the new Judgement Dragon with slightly harder to summon but whole field clean while giving you a +2.

Now Spellbooks are tier -9001
They can pretty much recycle every card and almost never go minus.

I honestly don't know how stupid and ridiculous Konami can get with Overpowered archetypes now. I thought they hit the limit with Elemental Dragons but i guess the sky is not the limit for Konami :/

"Hey Yu-Gi-Oh players, we released these stupidly powerful cards and archetypes so you will have to throw your old decks away and pay us hundreds of dollars to get these new cards just to be able to compete with the competition in the YCS. And then, after a couple of formats later, we will ban/limit these cards so you can't use them and have gave us your money for nothing (troll face)" - Konami

If it is really " reveal 4 TYPES of spellbooks" that does limit them somewhat. Also this is only when it is summoned so unlike Judgement Dragon it only does this once.

I may be slightly biased as I play Burning Knuckler almost all the time so destruction doesn't really bother me.

At least it is not another lvl 7.

Judgment of the Light will be released in the TCG in August so thankfully the card won't deal any significant damage here.
Also, the card is finally available in the wiki .

World (name given by the wikia) seems ridiculously powerful but nothing really difficult to deal with. It doesn't solve the weakness of Prophecy decks however, adding more support to that archtype is really too much. They should just focus on improving previous archtypes like they did with Harpies or how they will do with Blue-eyes.

Btw if you didn't know about the new Blue-eyes boss monster:

Blue-Eyed Silver Dragon
2500/3000
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Normal Monsters
When this card is Special Summoned: Until the end of the next turn, Dragon-Type monsters you control cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase: You can target 1 Normal Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target.

You can check it on the wiki .

I have to agree with you there Metatron. They need to go back and boost the old decks. When I first heard about them going back and making a new Blue Eyes deck I was rather excited. Powering up the old cards will make older players much more excited and the art on some of the old cards is just superb so needs some new support so we can use them again!

woah, this card is pretty cool, a new synchro monster.
which is something that i always love

Looks like something rescue rabbit and hieratics can play

Honestly, this dragon synchro mosnter in Rabbits could be devastating. It's cool bro, in 2 turns i can make another laggia/dolka again, and again in another two turns. lol

Maybe A Gemini deck could play this as well.

Side note: They should totally re-name it as the [ Blue Peeps Whitey Dragon ] (anyone get that reference there?)

Wish there would be a lot of support for high level normal monsters. Heliopolis needs more love.

Normal Monsters? It's all about the Geminis and their support. They have no love, except for Neos Alius, he gets all of the love in Geminis

More accurate translation + pst:

World of Prophecy
9 Stars/LIGHT/Spellcaster-Type - Effect/2900 ATK/2400 DEF
When this card is Special Summoned by a Spellcaster or the effect of a "Spellbook" Spell Card: You can add 2 "Spellbook" Spell Cards from your Graveyard to your hand. During this turn, you cannot Special Summon any other monsters. When you add those "Spellbook" cards to your hand: You can reveal 4 Spellbooks with {different names?}; destroy all other cards on the field.

So not that broken as you think xD

So, it is like a one turn JD.
Hmm, i get it is not broken but it is stupidly easy to get out still with a pretty good effect

I would say this is an okay card, looks like a card that would only be used to end the duel

The good thing is that it can only use its effect once, and only if it was summoned by a specific procedure. This gives Konami some breathing room in terms of how to not let players plop it down too often. And at the same time, it's not Nomi or Semi-Nomi, so it's not necessarily a dead draw without its summoning condition being met like JD tends to be.

I guess it could be useful in dark decks... When I say I want more Gravekeepers and Dark World cards, I want named cards that update the archetype. Like a card that helps Dark World discard, or a card that circumvents Necrovalley's effect and special summons from the graveyard to speed up Gravekeepers.

Well, I honestly think Dark Worlds do not need anymore support as its archetype can preform perfectly well with its support cards now. With Grave Keepers, they could maybe get like a new XYZ monster but that's about it because they can work well with the support they have now.

I want more support for those archetypes they just threw away, Like LV monsters, they have great potential and a inventive way of getting stronger but barely have any support.

and hey, the VWXYZ monsters, they were the first monsters to "contact fusion" which was a big step in YuGiOh in my opinion. But do you know what specific support they have.

NONE, THAT IS RIGHT, NONE AT ALL (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/VWXYZ)

They literally threw this into the bin and completely forgot about it. And i loved this archetype in my younger years;-;

..... Sorry for going all ranting []
