Welcome to my Deck Archive []

As the title says, in this post I'll put my favorite decks to use.

Almost every recipe I'll post here are made my ME and only me. If the ideas are not mine, I'll give credits.

Deck Waves number: 4

Current decks: Assault Psychic, Hieratic Saphira, Infernity, Six Samurai, Vylon OTK, Harpies, Dragunity, Gishki Zielgigas, Gem-Knight, Geartown, Balmung OTK, Skull Servant, Ritual Beast, Nekroz, Yosenju

IMPORTANT UPDATE: I revamped the post. Now, instead of writing manually the recipes, I put a link to the Mediafire Folder where you can download the decks. I'll only remove the "written" recipes, but the description will remain. Also, I updated the older decks to the newest banlist. [] WAVE 4 REVAMPED!

Warning: Those decks ARE NOT meant to be necessarily competitive; this means you'll see fun decks, meta decks (only if I like them), and some bad ones.

I'll update this thread every time I'll have at least 3 decks to post.

At the end of this post, after the decks explanations, there will the download link for ALL the decks []

-

Suggestions for deck ideas and hints to improve the decks are always welcome, enjoy! []

♦♣♦

Wave 1:

Assault Psychic

This deck focuses on "Hyper Psychic Blaster" and his "/Assault" form. It's really funny to use, and can bring the boss monsters really quickly. It's a bit unconsistent sometimes, but it's a really funny deck, at least for me.

-

Hieratic Saphira

In this deck, I combined the powerful level 6 Ritual "Saphira the Dragon Princess" with Hieratics. They trigger upon every kind of tribute. I won't tell you the combos you can do, discover them by yourself! []

-

Infernity Synchro

This was one of my favorite decks before Yang Zings came out. It's a Synchro Build, so it's less powerful than the Infernity decks played now. It rewards the skill of the player, and it's a bit unconsistent sometimes. Don't expect a lot from this deck if you don't know what you're doing [:thumbu:]

♦♣♦

Wave 2:

Six Samurai

Well, it's one of my favorite decks nowadays. It's not the same old and good deck as it used to be in the past, but it still has something to say. With RotA at 2 I decided to re-use them and, as a consequence, to put my recipe in this post. The deck has a lot of search, drawing and special summons thanks to RotA, Shien's Smoke Signal, Six Samurai United, Shien's Dojo, Asceticism of the Six Samurai and Double-edged Sword Technique. There are many variants for the deck, but I find this the most convenient to me []

-

Vylon OTK

A long time ago, I made a topic about Vylons. It was a recipe that focused on a mix of all the strategies a Vylon deck can use, but I gained experience as a Duelist and I found it's better to focus on a single strategy and exploit it at its max. Vylon OTK it's my choice: it's faster than the other variants and having a giant beatstick that can attack multiple times is somehow funny. I know it isn't the best Deck or Recipe ever, but give it a try []

-

Harpie

So far, I put only Synchro decks, except for the Hieratic Saphira one. I decided to change a little and post a deck purely focused on Xyz: Harpies! They're awesome, having access to broken Rank 4s and more-broken Rank 7s makes them really strong.
I'd also want to dedicate this recipe to my Gf, it's one of her favorite decks []
Enjoy []

♦♣♦

Special Wave: Duel Terminal!

As the title says, this wave will contain 3 Duel Terminal archetypes. Enjoy []

-

Dragunity

The Dragunities are legends from the Dragon Ravine: a place that was thought never existed. In the battle against Worms, the Mist Valley tribe was in difficulty and the Dragunities showed up.

Dragunity is a well known archetype, capable of summoning multiple monsters in a turn. Some banlist ago, Dragon Ravine was banned and everyone thought that the deck was dead; It's not right, the deck lost a lot of consistency but it's still playable. This is a pretty basic recipe but there are many builds (like the Majestic one that I'll post if you want).

-

Gishki Zielgigas

The Gishkis are one of the 4 tribes of the second part of the Duel Terminal's story. The archetype focuses on ritual summon, and this recipe in particual, on the summon of the biggest Gishki ritual: Zielgigas.

-

Gem-Knight UPDATED!

Gem-Knight is my favorite Archetype in terms of Fusion Summon. Along the Gishki tribe, it's one of the 4 tribes of the Duel Terminal. At first, they fought against the Laval Tribe for justice, and for the same reason, against the Gishki one to defend the Gusto tribe. At the end, Gem-Knights fought along Constellars to defeat Evilswarm Ouroboros. In the middle of the story, they fought against Vylons and defeated them with Gem-Knight Pearl.

This is a pretty epic archetype, and this recipe is the most-competitive I know. There are no Volcanic Shells because Fire Hand is better, hands down. Wyrm the Genesis Dragon is IDGAF with enormous body and wings, and Dragon's Mirror is a good tech to summon him. The side deck is also very versatile: Goyo and Yazi are there to exploit Ally of Justice Cycle Reader in the same side. Enjoy []

♦♣♦

OTK/Suggestion Wave

This wave contains 3 deck focused on OTKing the opponent, 2 of them are suggestions. Enjoy []

-

Geartown

This deck was suggested by jacollo.

With the new rules, field spells are no longer destroyed when replaced by other field spells. This means that the Geartown combo is more difficult to pull out, but it's not impossible. Here's a Geartown Scrap Pendulum Turbo deck that aims to OTK the opponent with level 8 monsters.

-

Balmung OTK

This deck was suggested by flowoftime.

This recipe focuses on OTKing the opponent with 2 Balmungs and Des Counterblow. You must have a properly synchro summoned Balmung on the field or graveyard, another properly synchro summoned Balmung on the field and Des Counterblow activated. Attack Directly with one Balmung, Des Counterblow activates and destroy the first Balmung. Balmung's effect activates, so the second Balmung gets revived. The second Balmung attacks directly and the loop continues until you win the duel.

There's also another OTK in this deck: Summon Colossal Fighter and Armory Arm. Equip Armory Arm to an opponent's monster whose attack is more than 1800; attack the equipped monster with Colossal Fighter. The latter gets revived by its own effect and the opponent will receive 2800 points of damage. Repeat until you win.

-

Skull Servant

This deck aims to OTK the opponent with King of the Skull Servants. The Lightsworn engine and Magical Merchant will mill all the Skull Servants and the other helpers, while Judgment Dragon and BLS help clearing the field.

♦♣♦

SP: Tribe Force Special

This wave contains the 3 Archetypes from the "SP: Tribe Force" booster pack. As always, enjoy! []

-

Ritual Beast

The Archetype focuses on doing Contact Fusions between the Spirit Beast Tamers and the Noble Spirit Beasts.

The fusion materials are sent from the field to the banished zone. Every fusion shares an effect: during either players turn, they can de-fuse and special summon 1 Spirit Beast Tamer and 1 Noble Spirit Beast from the banished zone. It's a different way to say "hey you can't target my fusion monster".

This deck has a special feature: it's one of the few decks that can main both Macro Cosmos and Dimensional Fissure. The main strategy is to attack with Apelio, which is a Fusion counterpart of a mini-Star Eater, then de-fuse him to summon Petolfin, an high-defense monster who cannot be destroyed by card effects. "Bond with the Spirit Beast" is very strong since you can attack with Apelio, de-fuse, activate that quick-play spell card, then make another Apelio and attack again. Kannahawk is good in mid-late game to return 1 banished monster to the graveyard and add Lera from the deck to the hand to prepare another Contact Fusion.

Deck Updated.
-

Nekroz

This is probably the strongest archetype of the wave. It's focused on Ritual Summon, and all the cards are a "enchanged" version of old Duel Terminal cards. The Rituals are ritual versions of old Synchro Monsters, for example.

In the Extra deck you can find "random" synchros: actually, it's not that random, because with Kaleidomirror you can tribute the extra deck monsters instead. And here comes the funny part: Miracle Synchro Fusion. I run only 1 of it, because it's dead in early game. With Kaleidomirror you can send the Synchro monsters to the graveyard and Fuse them with Miracle Synchro Fusion to make Draco-Equiste or Supreme Arcane Magician.

Deck Updated.
-

Yosenju

This is my favorite archetype of the set.

Every level 4 is a Beast-Warrior (searchable by Tenki) that when normal summoned, normal summons another "Yosenju" from the hand, except one of the same name of the summoned monster. The main strategy is to swarm the field with normal summons, and tribute summon the level 6s and the boss monster, Daibakaze. The Monarchs Stormfoth is very strong in this deck. This deck, even with Pendulums, doesn't special summon a lot: I run 2 Pot of Duality, but another copy doesn't hurt. Fiendish Chain is the strongest effect negation card in this deck because you need to stop the opponent's attacks also; almost every Yosenju will mostly return in the hand during the End Phase, which leaves you open to attacks but it also gives you more plays for the next turn.

You won't use the Extra Deck often, but we have access to one of the strongest Xyz, Chidori.

Deck Updated.

Enjoy []

Well, I really like Skill Prisoner; I put it in almost every deck that can summon an important boss monster and I have to protect him from 101. The problem is that it doesn't stop Exciton or JD, but I think I'll add it. Maybe I should drop the 2 Black Horns (I'm testing that card only recently, I discovered his potential) for 2 Skill Prisoner.

Black Horn:

PRO:

It stops any special summon via condition (not effect) so Exciton, 101, JD, any other Synchro/Xyz; This is relevant.

Doesn't make the opponent to activate on-summon effects;

CON:

It doesn't stop special summon via effects, so not Soul Charge, Fusions and Rituals; This is also relevant.

Easily MSTable;

Skill Prisoner:

PRO:

It lasts for the entire turn; Not so relevant.

No 101, Michael, Lyla, or any other targetting effect from monsters; Main power of the card.

It can be activated twice, in either player's turn, both in the field and in the graveyard; This is what makes me really like the card. MST isn't a problem for this card.

CON:

It doesn't stop non-targetting cards like Exciton, JD, World, Tiaramisu, Moralltach, ecc. ; This is the main flaw.

Doesn't stop on-summon effects.

-

After this analysis, I decided to drop off Black Horn and put Skill Prisoner. I will test. Thanks for the suggestion []

I see you don't put MST in Six Some-Ray.

Try to add Book of Moon. It's one if not the most versatile card and a staple in most decks.

Book of Moon's functions:
1. Negate one attack by targeting one monster and change it to face-down Def Pos. Apply for both of your monster or opponent's monster.
2. If you use it on your monster, it can cancel some staple cards such as Bottomless Trap Hole, Mirror Force, Solemn Warning, etc thus protecting your monster from destruction.
3. By changing one monster to face-down Def Pos, it's also:
a) Reset any change in Atk/Def and negated effect on one monster.
b) Destroy any Spell-Equip attached to one monster also cancel any Spell-Equip prior to attachment by chaining.
c) Disturb thus refrain your opponent from Synchro or Xyz.
4. Put your opponent's Boss monster into face-down Def Pos. Boss monster usually has less Def.
5. It's a Quick Spell, meaning it can be activated during your Battle Phase from your hand and any Phase during your opponent's turn if it was previously set.
6. It can somehow cancel monster's effect, but not many effect monsters fall into this cancellation.
7. It can somehow cancel some Targeting Spells/Traps, but not many Targeting Spells/Traps fall into this cancellation.

Discussions on the staples that can be put in a deck can last decades. I know the power of Book of Moon, it's a card I always like to have in the hand. The problem is that I cannot find any room for MST and Book of Moon. In the recipe I posted, the spell are ALL important because they search, they make you draw, they make you special summon monsters, ecc. . MST is good against Solemn Warning and other summon-negation cards since all the other S/T can be countered by Shi En, Barkion and Beast.

I use a bit different build with my Gem-Knights but your's looks pretty nice

Cris, I have a challenge for you. Since the change in the rules there has been some people that claim Geartown is useless now since it doesn't get destroyed when you set a field spell on top of it. How about making a Geartown Turbo deck?

It would be better if you can provide .ydk files to your decks or maybe a link to download it.

BTW you changed your signature. [] No more love for Six Some-Ray? []

Gem-Knight:

Let me guess, you run Volcanic Shells/Thunder Dragon or Amber []

Without jokes, what build you run?

Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. I'm currently testing a Pendulum Scrap Geartown Turbo, it's difficult to balance all the cards [:wall:]

I cannot post more than 3 .ydk files per post, and for an organization factor I won't attach the files. Maybe I'll give a link to download them, in the next update []

I just put my only favorite deck because I have more than 3 favorites []

I think D.D.R. is enough, the discard cost is null with Gem-Knight Fusion.

I've been wanting to ask. []

I strongly believe you love Balmung since Cosmic Dragon was released months ago. No one cares for Balmung before Yang Zing was out, am I right? []

Say, can you make a deck that center on Balmung without using Yang Zing monster(s)? []

I bet you can't. []

I'm currently working on both the suggestions, if someone can give me a third I can make the "Suggestions Wave" []

Btw, I looked to your Gem-Knight recipe, I can say it's a very different build from mine []

And yes, I really like Balmung. []
