I've tried using the application on a Windows 8 PC, but I always find that it doesn't work. More specifically, I don't see the text when I type in the search boxes and some cards don't work properly as well. Do any players use this game on a Win 8 platform? If yes, then how did you make it work? If not, then how soon can we expect support for Windows 8?

PS: I've tried the updated .exe's but no dice, and yes I have the latest version as well.

Thanks in advance.

The game is completely compatible with windows 8, are you running it as an administrator?

I have been using Windows 8 for about a year now; I didn't really have any problems with getting YGOPro to run.
Have you tried running the program in compatibility mode?

I have tried the compatibility mode but not as administrator. Let me try that.

I have also been having problems with YGOPRO on windows 8. When I launch it and click any option in the menu it just crashes, this is strange though because I have had YGO for over a year and it has never had problems running until now.

That usually happens if the font cannot be loaded. Open system.conf with a text editor and check if the font specified there exists on your computer.

For example:
Quote:

textfont = fonts/simhei.ttf 14
numfont = fonts/arialbd.ttf

Thanks for the quick reply, you were right the text format used wasn't on my PC, I have deleted and re-downloaded YGO PRO and it seems to work now anyways. Thanks for the help

Okay my problem still persists and I think adding some pictures might be of more use.

So in the card search box, I typed out "Dragon" and all I get is blank space, you can see from the part I've highlighted. I've tried switching fonts, running as administrator and even compatibility mode. Have also tried all 3 methods at once.

So any help on the matter is appreciated. Thanks again.

What keyboard settings are you using? Try changing it by pressing alt+shift

I checked and it was, set to India. Changed it to the US and sure enough its working.

Thank you very much.
