Only 1 ROTA? I wouldn't be brave enough to try the deck that way, but if it works well for Duran, then I'll have to test that out.

He runs 1 Rota because there are only 3 targets. The rest of the deck is LV5 or higher. This is why most of the UA decks run Heroic Assault Halberd to give 6 targets with 3 Rotas. There's no blockbacker either.

I'd be interested to know how his deck fared at the regional tournament though.

Thats correct. Having 3 rota for just 3 targets will clog.
