Raigeki Break does not activate shaddoll effects when discarded from your hand despite being a card effect. the tricky does not activate shaddoll effects despite being sent to the graveyard by the card effect. back to square one does not active shaddoll effects despite being sent to the graveyard by a card effect.

Side note eye of timaeus does not allow you to summon dark paladin from the fusion deck despite being a fusion gate and isn't considered a special summon bye eye of timaeuses card effect description.

All of these are costs. These won't trigger shaddolls.

Also, I have never made Fusion Summoning with a Spell/Trap Card work. (e.g. Yasushi the Skull Knight)
