Anime card. Doesn't seem too difficult in terms of its effect.

Joyful Doom is impossible to implement since cards such as Winged Dragon of Ra checks for the monster's Text Original ATK not just ATK. You can only modify original ATK and ATK but not Text Original ATK.
Now this is how I play:

In the anime Joyful Doom specifically works against Ra. The card can be scripted so that when used against anime or Tag Force Ra then Ra has 0 ATK. This can also be useful against maybe a few others. It's an extremely situational card but I love it. If an opponent tributes monsters for a tribute summon, treat their ATK as 0. Therefore, something like Ra is left with 0 ATK.

I know someone scripted a version of Joyful doom that reduces the Opponents monsters attack to 0 that are currently on the field.

It has to be where when the opponent tributes monsters for a tribute summon, those monsters ATKs are treated as 0. Then, you gain LP equal to their previous ATK.
Sounds simple compared to a lot of our other complex cards.

ya the Joyful Doom I have for my Anime Mode project goes as followed

Gain Life points equal to the total amount of atk of all monsters your opponents controls, the atk of the monsters are reduced to 0

it's probably the best we are going to get til someone scripts it better

That's not how it works in-game. There's no function that can modify Text Original ATK. It's very easy to implement if only the function exists.
Now this is how I play:

Yeah that is incorrect though. It seems simple. It should be activate-able right after the Tribute Summon. The monsters used for the tribute's ATK will be added to your LP. Then, script in the few monsters who depended on the tributes ATK. Like Great Maju Garzet, Ra, etc. Have it scripted so that if THOSE monsters were tributed for, their ATK becomes 0.

Then do what I mentioned in my previous post. Have it so that after the Tribute Summon, you activate Joyful Doom. You immediately gain LP equal to the sacrificed monsters combined original ATK. Then, if the tribute summon was for a monster dependent on ATK, like Ra or Great Maju, have their ATK become 0 permenantely.

Ok. I reread the effect. Give me the list of cards that gain ATK on the tributes.

This might take a while. Other than Great Maju Garzett and Maju Garzett I can't think of any, not counting Ra. HmmM~

Well, one thing, if those monsters whose new text original ATK is 0 are returned to the field, will their ATK be 0 ATK from then on? Or will it treat the tributed monsters' ATK as 0 just for this effect (which is simpler and seems like the route you are already going to go).

What I plan to do is:

1. Activate upon Tribute Summon
2. Gain LP equal to the combined previous ATK
3. Manually check for specific cards whose ATK go up using the Tributes. If yes, that increase becomes 0.
Now this is how I play:

Yes, that seems correct. Although for the effect text you'll just use the same as whats written on the card.

So this should work against Ra, Great Maju Garzett, Maju Garzett, Tyrant Neptune. My interpretation of Joyful Doom is that "their ATK/DEF is treated as 0" as opposed to "Reduce it to 0". So that would mean to me that this would work on monsters that depend on an original ATK of their tributes.

You know i came here to find out a solution for the unjoyful doom in the game...and your idea is awesome but the problem is that ra is unaffected by traps 😰
