Hi, not sure if this is a bug or a ruling issue.

I have Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon and a Hi-Speed Hagoita on the field.

- I tribute Hi-Speed Hagoita to activate its effect.

- Then I use Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon effect to negate it.

- I was able to successfully negate the effect, however, I do not get the attack bonus (In this case 2000atk) from it.

I notice I don't get any bonus atk boost from negate monster effect from the grave. Is this a ruling issue?

If I negate hand trap effect like Honest, will I get any damage boost from it?

Please advise.

Thanks.

Crystal wing only gains attack if it negates the effect of the monster on the field. If you negate a hand effect, or a grave effect, it doesn't gain attack

more precisely, crystal wing only gain atk if it destroy the monster it negates, monster in graveyard cannot be destroyed so if a monster send itself to grave as a cost (honest, hagoita), then you negate the effect with crystal wing, the monster is already in graveyard and is cannot be destroyed, crystal wing wont gain attack

monster in hand can be destroyed so if you negate thing like gorz, i'm pretty sure crystal wing will gain attack
