YGOPRO Card Packer
v1.0

1. What is YGOPRO Card Packer?

YGOPRO Card Packer is a small program written in .NET that simplifies the transfer and importing of custom cards made by others.

2. How does it work?

The program exports all of the data of one or more cards from your YGOPRO and saves it all in a single Zip file. You can then give this file to someone who also uses YGOPRO Card Packer. That person can open the file in the program and import the data you exported, in just a few clicks.

3. What do I need to use it?

The program is currently Windows-only and requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4 or higher. The Framework usually comes as a Windows Update, or, if you have Windows 8 or later, it comes built into the OS. If you're running a version of Windows lower than 8, you can check what version you have in Control Panel -> Programs and Features. If it's lower than 4, you can update here .

Download link for the program itself: YGOPRO Card Packer

4. How do I use it?

Extract the folder containing the .dll and .exe files into your YGOPRO folder and run the .exe file. At this point, you should get a notification that it automatically found your database file, and configured everything itself. If not, fill any remaining fields yourself. (You must fill all of them)

NOTE: You may get a security prompt at this point because the program stores the configuration in a file in the same directory called 'config.xml'.

Afterwards click 'IMPORT', then 'Open' and select the card pack you want to import. You should now see the list of cards in the pack. Click the big green arrow in the middle and the same list will appear on the right. Now click 'Save' and watch as the progress bar shows how much work is done. Once all of the cards turn green, you're done. You can now use the imported cards in YGOPRO!

That's all there is to it.

5. How do I, a custom card maker, use this to create card packs?

The process is almost identical, except that in the 'EXPORT' screen you transfer from the database to a new or existing file. Note that the list is empty unless you filter by name or by ID. This is done to minimize load times.

You can also transfer from pack to pack in the 'MERGE' screen. This merges the newly added cards with the existing ones in the pack on the right.

6. Is this free? what can I do with it?

Yes, the program is absolutely free and you may redistribute it and use it however you want. Though if you intend to use it for commercial purposes, read the License section in the 'ABOUT' screen.

Enjoy!

Butty's devpro card manager is useful to make a custom card data-text not to import-export so devpro card manager is still useful!![]

Heh, yeah. I got tired of doing that as well. I thought that there has to be a better way to do it, so I made it myself. []

It's for merging two zip files into one. This is useful if you use card packs from a lot of different people, as it will let you create one single "All my custom cards" pack that you can re-import when YGOPRO gets an update. (updates reset the database)

You can select one or more cards in the left list and press Enter, or you can just drag'n'drop the selection.

I intend to keep the source code private for now, while the thing is still in beta. This is to avoid any confusion if an over-generous forum member responds to a bug report for me by compiling their own version. Once the thing has gone without a bug for a few months, I will open up the source.

Until then, I will only give anyone the source code via PM, and only if you promise not to make your own build without asking me first. Sound good?
