On Barrel Behind the Door versus Ring of Destruction, keep in mind that Ring of Destruction had an effect change that is relevant here. Originally, Ring of Destruction would damage both players at the same time, and as such, if Barrel Behind the Door was chained to Ring of Destruction, the player who did not activate Barrel Behind the Door would end up taking damage equal to twice the ATK (on the field) of the destroyed monster. Now, though, Ring of Destruction actually inflicts damage at two slightly different times. It first damages its controller, then (still during the same Chain Link, but after the initial damage), if the damage was not enough to make Ring of Destruction's controller lose the Duel, checks how much damage it did to its controller, and if it did any, inflicts the same amount to the opponent. As a result, if Barrel Behind the Door is chained to Ring of Destruction, the result depends on whether the player who activated Barrel Behind the Door was also Ring of Destruction's controller. If the controller of Ring of Destruction activated Barrel Behind the Door, then the opponent will end up taking damage equal to the original ATK of the destroyed monster. If the opponent of Ring of Destruction's controller activated Barrel Behind the Door, Ring of Destruction's controller will end up taking damage equal to the original ATK of the destroyed monster, then take that same amount of damage again.
