I think it's appropriate to the person who hosts to be able to alter the Banlist/Allowed cards or to use his own that he has made, since he's the one who hosting in the first place, it's the DAMN host, why shouldn't he..??? I think it's nonsense that there are default Banlists/Allowed cards when you play on EU or US Server. Excluding the meta banlist, which is not up to us of course.... But if someone got bored and decided to play Oldschool and i don't mean Goat Format which is dumb and requires 20 IQ, or play non-meta duels with strangers, there is not reason for not having this option. It's simple, since im hosting, my rules and if the guest doesn't aggree he can just leave, he will notice that he has a banned card in his deck and he will just leave or he will remove and then come back, simple... So what's the matter...???

There are the Generation Banlists (GX, 5D's, etc.) which restrict the usage of cards to that era and before.

I don't think your idea is viable for a few reasons:
1) You would need to invest a lot of time to create that banlist
2) Possible opponent's would need hours to read through that banlist and adapt their deck accordingly. While they are doing that, it's likely that you have already found another opponent
3) You would need to somehow "send" that banlist to the other player

Last time i checked the Generation Banlists didn't work and I tested it enough times... People who had XYZ and Pendulums could enter for some reason. I told that to a few mods in Discord and they confirmed it. There was some kind of bug... I don't know if they didn't reported it yet or it has been fixed. I will check it...

Still, though there are a bunch of problems with the Default Banlists...
For example, there are a fair amount of cards that are considered "broken" especially in DM Format, the game gets dull and focuses around specific cards which results in turning DM Format into Goat Format! Do you get it? So the only solution is to make hosts able to alter the Banlist or use their own Banlist...
I know that a lot of problems that i haven't yet consider will occur but in the current state it's not very practical either...
Also, we can't just ban the broken cards, because other broken cards will take their places eventually...

In addition,
1) We may need a lot of time to create a banlist, but you do it once. You save the digits of each card and just copy paste it... You don't need to do it all over again every time.
2)They don't need to read anything, there is a notification that says which banned cards are included in your deck. It may take a bit to adapt their Decks, but mostly the banned cards will be common broken cards like i said. We won't ban the half cards that are available, they are mostly specific cards that are prospective. Finding a another opponent in the meantime, I don't see anything bad about that, it's not your fault that their deck happened to have those cards. LOL

You can do a duel note for that and say "No goat format, no Card X, etc." If people will adhere to it is another question, but there are always ways around. I've dueled dozens of decks whose only card was "Pot of Greed" ...

Whenever I enter a game without checking the banlist beforehand, I get a notification saying "Card X is not allowed", so I go to the Deck Editor and take that card out. Then I re-enter and it says "Card X is not allowed" so I go to the Deck Editor again and take that card out. Do you get it? It only gives you one card which is forbidden, so it takes ages. It would so much easier to just enter another game instead of adapting your deck for 20 minutes.

First of all U were warned for posting this in Discord so why post it again??

You may be the Host but ur not the server owner server follows current banlist and some other banlist(Generations,

worlds and anime) you can't make ur own banlist and play in YGOpro Percy

If u want to play with ur custom banlist go make ur own server and make ur own banlist

Cards which r overused r Banned not becuz thr Broken. Thr still many cards in the OCG LAND r limited(monster reborn

,card des)<- Both of them r Broken

Broken is a relative term cards u think r Broken may not be broken for other plyrs

If ur fearing from playing against Broken cards then play with ur friends only

FOR 1 PLAYER mods/coders wont make/change a banlist.
My Dignature Can u dig it!

Most people that join don't pay attention, like 1/10 do, that's what i've noticed so far, besides that some of them are able to read them but they prefer to ignore them...
A lot of them don't even know english, especially spanish people, so they are not able to read the note.
Pot of Greed is fine, I don't really bother, but most of the time their Decks include far more broken cards and it's not only about the specific cards that I'm afraid...

Yeah, you're right, I forgot about that... Then they should make an algorithm that checks the whole Deck first, detect the banned cards that are included in the Deck and then a note should appear that mentions all the cards that are disabled. I know that it's not that simple, but I don't think that it's too hard either.

I'm just offering a suggestion...

1)Overused cards=Broken, that's why they are overused in the first place.
There are cards that fit in every deck, they have ridiculous costs compared to other cards, they offer more benefits than risks etc. There are objectively BROKEN cards that will never come back despite the meta.
Did you remember the old Ring of Destruction? Why they change it? It's pretty obvious...

In the other hand there are cards that are BROKEN when they are combined with other cards, but ONLY if there is no counterplay for that combo or very limited counterplay. Then they are considered broken.

I don't completely disagree with your opinion, of course there are cards which are considered broken by some and balanced by others.

2)They told me to post it here because it wasn't the right place in Discord. So I did.
No comment about their behaviour towards me though.

And who do you think you are? Why are you indicating me where to post and what to post?
I post whatever I want, wherever I want!

For someone who has just have posted less than 5 posts in the forum, who do you think YOU are? And no, you cannot post whatever you want, we have rules here too. Try to post something not allowed, and it will not go left unpunished.

The fact that you were already warned in Discord simply means that this post qualifies as spam.
Now this is how I play:

You can already do this via LAN. The person who hosts a LAN game will use that person's banlists, scripts, and cdb. This is how people who use custom cards and banlists duel. You need your opponent to be connected to the same server though which is why hamachi or Evolve is used. Unfortunately, discord won't work.

This might be a compromising solution after all i guess...

What it requires to be done? What the other person needs in order to connect to your LAN game?
