Gamble dragon is extra linked and my opponent has a card in his hand but i can't activate the second effect

Your Gamble Dragon is not extra linked, at least not in that last picture. It is co-linked. Extra linked means that you have a row of co-linked monsters going from one EMZ to the other EMZ.

Well, the effect is goddamn powerful, so of course it is hard to pull off. Otherwise it would be ridiculous.
