I was woundering if when a monster attacks, it could be highlighted with a red border and the monster it is attacking highlighted with a blue border (or some other method), since there are times when I think of what I want to do, then forget exactly which card attacked or which of my cards was attacked (more common when there are multiple monsters with the same name on the field).

I do believe when a monster declares an attack, a pop-up box appears asking if you want to chain something, and it also states which monster declared an attack, and what the attack target was.

There is, but only when the monster first attacks, it doesn't show that during the Damage Step, or after any cards have been chained to the attack. Also, if either player has multiple cards of the same name, it is still possible to lose track of which one is attacking/being attacked.
