Right hand sharks effect that prevents an xyz monster from being destroyed by battle isnt working when used as material to summon number 59 crooked cook. It works with other rank 4s just not him

Cook is unaffected by card effects when you control no other cards. That could include effects like right-hand shark that grant an effect to an xyz.

But it is worded exactly like heroic challenger extra sword and express train trolley olley and he gains those effects so why is it different?

I actually noticed that if you have another card on the field when you summon cook using right hand shark and then you remove that card after hes summoned then he gains sharks effect. If you summon cook with no other cards on the field then he doesnt gain the effect for some reason

because it's unaffected by card effects while you have no other cards.

If you summon crooked cook using heroic challenger extra sword he gains 1000 Atk. If that works with him why doesnt right hand shark work? They are worded exactly the same way.

looking at the tips page for cook does detail the extra sword play. I guess it works. I've seen power bond plays with that AG chaos giant work. I guess it is bug.
