Ok since this day an generation most of the decks are based on the same strategy, which is special summon via the support of low level or low atk monsters. Or in some cases effects that are activated from Banished Zone and Graveyard. Anyway if you can manage to have the correct cards to go against the opponent deck on time it can be a secure win.

Strategy: Basically one of the best ways to stop your opponent to do anything is with Pachycephalos and Tiger King both to be on the field and at least 1 Burden of the might, there are few monster which attack at level 4 won't go down lower than 1400 Atk, and with Pachy it will stop any special summons of high level monster or xyz monster. Orichalcos can prevent your opponent to attack Pachy which will be the lowest attack monster on your field if you have at least Tiger king or Jinzo. But also we have the dangerous Ruler Dragon and Dark World, that's where Soul Drain comes handy, this card by the cost of 1000LP will negate the effect of any card on the graveyard or that is Banished, so dragon rulers and dark worlds can't use their effects.

Theres a Draw combo that works with Aurora Paragon and By Order Of The Emperor, Aurora Paragon will nullify any atempt of special summon from both players but it gets destroyed as soon someone normal summons, here is where BOTE(By Order Of The Emperor) comes, since it activates whenever an effect activates when a monster is normal summoned and is not necessary from that monster, it will negate Aurora Dragon Destruction effect and it will give you an extra draw, bu it is highly suggest it not to use as main part of the deck since there are summoning that will trigger a effect such as Tin Gold Fish and Aurora effect activates his effect before Tin Gold Fish, making that trap negate the effect of Tin Gold Fish and not Aurora Dragon, making the combo break. Is highly suggested not to use the Synchro or Xyz monsters unless is a really necessary situation, is best to maintain the main oppressive monsters however you can.

weakness: there are cards on your deck that can destroy your own deck if they aren't played correctly, so you must be wise and know what kind of deck you are going against. It does not posses a powerful draw, so getting the cards on time is hard, so cards like Sixht Sense and Morphing jar might be either salvation or your demise. But overall it can win against the top meta decks.

the deck looks good but prevention is pointless if you are not prepared for the real dangers of those preventions are bypassed, does not work too well against well coordinated and understands the rulings and loopholds also highly reactive decks too, i faced a similar deck once myself using scraps

Just like you said, requires lots of thinking, strategy and patience, and not all the time the correct card will come
or even for that matter the correct hand, and if you aren't careful or have a high understanding of
rulings and effects, you can demise your own gameplay.

And like I said before it just stops the current meta, something like scraps or Heroes, can become a huge threat.
and most of the time this is a match deck and not a single duel deck, since you must require knowledge of the deck
your opponent has. Or at least think two steps ahead and have knowledge of all the possible card combinations there can be with Blaster from the Dragon Rulers for example, because he appears on the field won't necessarily mean its a chaos dragon or dragon ruler deck, those dragon works way to well for any kind of support for almost any deck.
