My opponent have blue eyes maiden on field.

I special summon Number 107, at start of battle i use effect and negate maiden. I attack Maiden maiden active and negate, now my tachyon gain 1000 and other attack.

The text of Tachyon say "each time an opponent's card effect resolves, this card gains 1000 ATK until the end of the Battle Phase, also, it can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn."

I think if the effect is negate and not resolve, so i think this is a bug. i have wrong?

It negates the effect not the activation of the effect.

The difference here is that if you negate the activation the card never goes to resolve.

If you negate just the effect the card resolves but the effect is negated.

Quick question: are there any cards that make this difference a practical one?

Continuous Traps/Spells for example. After they have been activated when they use their effect they are not activating, so cards like Seven Tools of The Bandit can not be chained to it only to the initial activation of placing them Face-Up on the field.
